2 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 bar butter, cut into cubes
1/2 cup Cold Water
1 teaspoon Vinegar
250 grams purple yam, rinsed well, peeled and cut into cubes
3 tablespoons Butter
1 packet NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream
2/3 cup NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada
1/3 cup Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 piece egg, beaten for egg wash
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted

1 bar butter, cut into cubes
1/2 cup Cold Water
1 teaspoon Vinegar
250 grams purple yam, rinsed well, peeled and cut into cubes
3 tablespoons Butter
1 packet NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream
2/3 cup NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada
1/3 cup Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 piece egg, beaten for egg wash

STEPS

Step 1 Combine all purpose flour, sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter and combine until mixed well. Add in eggs and cold water and mix well to form a dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and set aside. (10 mins)
Step 2 For the filling, simmer purple yam until very tender. Set aside to cool completely. (30 mins)
Step 3 Finely grate purple yam and place in pan. Add butter, NESTLÉ® All Purpose Cream, NESTLÉ® Carnation® Condensada, evaporated milk and vanilla extract and cooked until thick. Set aside to cool. (20 mins)
Step 4 Preheat oven at 325ᴼF. (20 mins)
Step 5 Flattened dough using a rolling pin. Cut with a 5-inch round cutter, put filling inside, fold and seal. Brush with egg wash and bake for 10 – 15 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly before serving. (40 mins)
